In fact, you can agree on a lot about, however, only Georgia shows interest in this so far. While Russia demonstrates the desire to take possession. So, a Russian proverb that mine is involuntarily pops up, but you can agree. Moscow clearly needs concessions from Georgia, and according to tradition, she expects that for the beginning of the dialogue she can still get something in addition. However, Georgians may have a completely reasonable question why and which, concessions should go, because they did not occupy the occupation of territories. At a minimum, you need to determine the list of issues on which it will be possible to negotiate – issues that even now cannot be resolved between countries. Of course, Russia may want to change the Georgia of the Law on the occupation – the recognition that Russia is not an occupier. In addition, Moscow may require the opening of the railway, and the stops of refugee support in organizations around the world, including the UN. Many countries, however, support Georgia – they begin to accept resolutions in which I recognize the occupation. Most likely, in this area, it will be difficult for countries to come to a compromise. At the same time, there are a number of positions in which you can come to a common denominator. For example, Russian broadcasting channels in Georgia are already slowly restored, it can also be reduced in the volume of rhetoric against Russia, we can get the release of Russian citizens who have been arrested (including those who are suspected of spying), make regular flights instead of rare charter flights. Of course, the power of Georgia can yield in such issues, but Russia, for its part, should also show respect, and not try to decide everything unilaterally. So, Georgia will expect a response, for example, the obligation that force will not be applied, a policy of recognition will be stopped, and visa will also be canceled for Georgian citizens. These issues are strategically important for both countries, but it is in them that you can show flexibility. Then you can establish the economic sphere, but it is necessary to calculate how appropriate it will be. The average and small business in Georgia wants to participate in the Russian market, but as for the largest exporters, they have signed good contracts with international companies, or they appear in the Russian market through Ukraine or Belarus. In any case, it is necessary to establish relationships – only how this restoration will take place – depends on the compliance of the authorities of both countries.
