The United States of America (the sights of which are presented here) are known to all tourists for the Grand Canyon.
This unique area is the most visited in America. An amazing miracle of nature, occupying about 5 thousand square meters. At the very bottom of the canyon flows a river, which 5 million years ago caused its formation.
The Grand Canyon is enormous. Its depth reaches 1800 m, and its length is about 450 m. The width of the attraction is 29 km. Although this canyon is not the largest in the world, its popularity is growing every year.
The uniqueness of the Grand Canyon is in the cliffs and many rocks that resemble ancient sculptures. Also on the territory are beautiful waterfalls and caves.
The climate and flora here are diverse. At the very bottom of the canyon, the air temperature can reach +400C, as at the same time on the plateau it does not exceed +150C. Only here you can see how the desert zone smoothly turns into a mixed forest. The canyon is rich in various cacti, pines, birches and majestic oaks.
On its territory:
more than 1600 different species of plants grow;
about 90 species of mammals live;
about 350 different birds, 47 reptiles and up to 26 species of fish live in the gorges.
Here every tourist can ride a kayak, canoe and SUP-board. Those who prefer a more relaxing holiday can see the sights from a helicopter. Or visit the bottom of the canyon, descending on mules.
