Muranian glass – fragile, precious and even cult material. Its name comes from the name of the island of Murano (Italy). Initially, the workshops were in Venice, at that time a large number of wooden buildings and requiring a lot of fire, glass production together posed a great danger and it was decided to arrange glass -shoes on a separate island.
This story is far from fabulous, but quite dramatic. The rulers of Venice imposed a monopoly on the manufacture of miraculous material. In Europe, many hunted the secrets of the miracle glass, Murano masters lured into other states, Sulya high income, cutting glass also enormous in demand.
