How American culture was born and its features

The culture of the United States of America has been shaped by the country’s ethnic and racial diversity. It has been significantly influenced by people from countries such as Ireland, Germany, Italy, Poland, the descendants of slaves brought from Africa, as well as American Indians and the native inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands.

However, the decisive contribution was made by the culture of people from England, who spread the English language, the legal system and other cultural achievements.

American cinema, television, blues, jazz, rap and rock serve as the foundation of world popular culture. It was in the United States that the Internet first appeared, the mass automobile first appeared, information technology developed and, being one of the leading economic and military powers in the world, it largely determines the lifestyle of the rest of humanity.
