Crisis phenomena and trends were reflected to varying degrees in the position of individual engineering enterprises. This led to the imperfection of the product structure of many territorial machine -building complexes, unilateral specialization of engineering enterprises, inefficient use of labor resources, violation of economic relations, the urgency of the financial system, a decline in production, continuous growth in the number of unemployed, the deterioration of the life of most of their personnel. Therefore, the imbalance in the economic development of engineering enterprises reached the threatening values. No less important is the issue of socio-economic crises in mechanical engineering enterprises. Socio-economic crises that covered the enterprises of mechanical engineering have many common features. This is a high level of inflation, a significant decline in production, impoverishment of staff, a noticeable decrease in its spiritual and moral level. Causal relationships in this complex of problems are complex. To distinguish economic problems in it as the dominant factors of a general crisis is only partial. At the same time, the main reasons for the socio-economic crisis in mechanical engineering enterprises are quite obvious to each other quite obvious: the priority of political goals over economic and insufficient scientific support for the process of reforming their economy and management, for example, the motivation for the labor productivity of personnel of engineering enterprises. Analysis of literary sources suggests that in the organization of any business system (in our case, engineering enterprises) one of the main prerequisites for ensuring its effective self -regulation is the effective motivation for personnel labor productivity. So, the motivation for the labor productivity of personnel of engineering enterprises should determine the interests of legal entities and individuals in the management of their economic activity. At the same time, it should be realized that it is always carried out under the influence of a complex set of relationships and hierarchy of the needs of personnel in conjunction with the capabilities and factors of their satisfaction with mechanical engineering enterprises. The lack of effective motivation for personnel labor productivity by the management of engineering enterprises restrains their economic growth, negatively affects the dynamics of product sales, etc. p..
