Nowadays, the “struggle for the client” is being carried out everywhere, and popular jurisdictions, including Dominica, BVO, Belize, Panama and Seychelles, do everything possible to offer potential owners of companies the best service.
When choosing a tax harbor, it is important to verify the loyalty and, of course, the complete transparency of local legislation that ensure the development of business in the territory. Let’s compare the most popular offshores in the main parameters.
The subtleties of the registration process
In Belize and the Seychelles, one shareholder and one director is enough, and their citizenship does not matter. But in Panama, the staff should consist of at least: treasurer; three directors; manager; secretary.
The last two posts cannot be combined. It will be possible to limit yourself to the BVO as a shareholder or the director, and in Dominica – just a director who is a citizen of any state.
Current tax system
In the Seychelles and the British Virgin Islands, as well as in Panama and Belize, the only mandatory annual payment is the state fee levied for extending the registration of the enterprise. They pay it either in January or in July (it all depends on the date of creation of the company).
The size of the authorized capital
In Dominica, this indicator is not regulated, and in other popular offshores, the figure can be:
5000 dollars (in the Seychelles and in Belize);
10,000 dollars (on Panama);
50,000 dollars (on BVO).
Reporting on a regular basis
In Panama and Belize, as well as in the Seychelles of the islands, no one requires either submitting and submitting reports for verification, nor conduct meetings of the founders. If the meeting is organized on the personal initiative of managers, its form can be of any choice. Among the permissible options: video communication; personal meeting; Conference-blink by phone.
The results are included in the protocol or report. Documents should be saved. The need for assembly and legislative acts acting on the BVO and in Panama has not been agreed upon.
The safety of the secret of information about managers
In the Seychelles, in Panama and on the BV, information about the directors and shareholders of the enterprise can find out any person. However, no one forbids to resort to the nominal service in order to hide the names of true owners.
But in Dominica and Belize the whole truth only one registration agent knows. He, like the leaders, is more than interested in the information remained secret: having disclosed it, he will be forced to pay a huge fine.
