The famous designer Carolina Herrera says that she finds inspiration wherever possible, which allows her not to leave, so to speak, from the game for almost 30 years.
Venezuelan-American fashion designer presented its last collection on Monday, during Fashion Week in New York.
Herrera showed a somewhat minimalistic collection in dark colors, which was more likely evening costumes.
Some dresses in style resembled the styles of the 1930s, but Herrera said that the main source of inspiration for her is a modern woman who has a past.
“This collection consists of proportions. I put on a dress and a jacket with rounded shoulders to it. This collection is entirely based on architectural and geometric forms, ”said Christina Herrera.
But the designer Tommy Gilfiger showed a collection where the traditions of bohemia and the American western were connected. Models went to the catwalk in classic shirts made of colored blankets, and in light flowing skirts and dresses made of striped blankets.
As for the fabrics, in this collection classic “winter” materials prevailed: velvet, fur and suede.
An important role also belonged to accessories, in particular, shoes: sneakers, cowboy boots and sabo, decorated with artificial fur.
