Specialization of workers – the right path of rational use of specialists. It allows you to concentrate personnel of specialists in decisive areas of training and organization of production. Specializing in a narrow area, you can quickly acquire high qualifications, show your knowledge.
It is possible to determine the level of specialization of employees by having regulatory coefficients of specialization that determine the number of work, which is advisable to assign to the corresponding structural units or to individual workers.
Assessment of the level of specialization in these conditions, when there are no such regulatory coefficients, does not have a practical meaning.
The rational division of labor involves not only the consolidation of the optimal amount of work for a certain contractor or control apparatus, but also (which is no less important) elimination, which, as the examination shows, is widespread in the activities of the management of construction organizations.
Employee qualifications and their use. The consideration of the issue of qualified work has two aspects: on the one hand, more complex work requires the application of certain knowledge, skills (t. e. a certain qualification), on the other hand, to use the potential capabilities of the employee when performing the work of a certain quality, he should be ensured by work in accordance with the qualifications.
Failure to fulfill the first condition is reflected in the quality of work, non -fulfillment of the second reduces labor productivity.
The level of qualifications of engineering and technical workers and employees should be determined by the qualification characteristics that determine the level and circle of knowledge that a specialist who occupies a particular position should have, as well as the nature of the work and the circle of functions that he must perform. But there are no qualification characteristics for engineering workers, as well as in most examined construction organizations and job descriptions. Therefore, given the specific conditions, the level of qualifications of workers can only be determined based on the educational qualification.
